Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers, was born on the 8th of July, 1989 in Paris. When she was a kid, she went to her school, the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. At the age of six, Emma realized she would like to be an actress and for many years she trained at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theater school, where she learned performing and singing. As early as age ten the actress took part in and performed the main role in a number of Stagecoach Productions and School Plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone The 2001 film adaption from J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was filmed in 1999. Emma was discovered through Emma's Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after having eight straight auditions. Emma's film debut came with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The film was also the most successful film during 2001. Its opening weekend and day ticket sales were record-breaking. Reviewers praised the film, and especially the young performers. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her excellent performance. Emma won the Young Artist Award as the most outstanding young actor in a feature Film. The actress was recognized five times in recognition of her part in the film.
