Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global progress into the Latin popular music scene. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. The album reached number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. The following year, he teamed up with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca, which was a Top Five hit. He collaborated alongside Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He the following year released his sophomore album which was the chart-topping Dopamina. Then in 2021, he sang the duet for TINI's streaming hit track Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo was raised in the musical home of his family. Both his father and brother are also musicians. According to Turizo, music was a mandatory element of his existence. When he was young, he taught to play the piano, saxophone as well as guitar. His initial goal was becoming a vet, the brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in singing lessons from an Cuban instructor. As a result personally discovering his talent as a singer altered the trajectory of his life.
